The Breaking the 4th Wall with Smokey Jane...

8/3/10

The Recent Invention of Non-Smoking Apartments.

Imma be honest with you...whether I smoke or not...I'm almost thinking that any place that restricts what I do INDOORS is not a home..
Privacy is a big issue for me and I really don't need any nosy, anal-retentive landlords snooping around my shit looking for bongs or ashtrays claiming that they were only there to fix a leak...
I don't even allow my current manager in my apartment.
Even the owner of my building has to stay outside.

I do admit that I am an social pot-smoker, and of course not around the kiddies...

Yet, I believe that what goes on inside a persons home is nobody else's business.
Now cigarettes do make the walls smell horrible and cause fire hazards and all that...

But so does a terrible cook!

All I'm saying is this...

any place that has a living restriction is not a home at all.
I'm VERY reclusive in that way..maybe this is why I just need to focus on a cute, little farm instead.

I was telling some people on Facebook, that I have some cute, little neighbors who obviously smoke mad crack...you can hear them arguing at eachother and playing hide and seek on the elevators...and they're in their 50's!!

Bless their palpitating hearts..

It's actually quite funny to me....watching them curse eachother out in the heat of cocaine-induced passion....

Although I never converse with them...they really never did me any wrong or bothered me in any way....

I figure as long as they keep their hyperactive shit over there...
I'm a happy neighbor.

I'm pretty open-minded and I try to let people be themselves as long as they're not hurting anyone else...and for this I expect the same.

That's city living, Honey...and I'm from LA where people usually DO THEMSELVES anyways.

WESSIDE!!! (lol)

Now, as for allergies...I do feel that people have a right to breath clean air...yet I can't really side with anyone when it comes to forcing someone to stop smoking outdoors.

I do believe people have their own rights...and if they are not happy with those rights...they have every right to stand behind the government in ridding the US of the Constitution....but that's a whole nother chapter...

Personally, I thing cigarette smoking stinks and is a hazard to people's health...

(but so is auto fumes....and smog, for that matter....the list can go on and on as to what is REALLY hazardous...)

The best thing I can do is close my door or move to the country because it is quite difficult to get away from it living in a city...

But you
can keep it out of your home...
which is nobody's business but your own....am I right?

  1. Agree with you 100%. The government needs to stay out of everyone's private business as long as no one is getting maimed or murdered. The end!
